JURBY is a 1.4 mile circuit created in 1994 as a permanent race venue. It's location in the Isle Of Man may seem at odds with the great road racing tradition but no area of motorsport is ignored if at all possible. In the North West corner of the island its is worth the visit for event to see close-up racing in the small circuit tradition. As always the Isle Of Man takes the worst of the Irish Sea weather but die-hard spectators will know how to stay comfortable and racing anywhere on the island is always a treat.

VIEWING -
Although renowned for it's road racing and tarmac rallies, Jurby is the only permanent circuit available on the island. Made from an obsolete airfield it's it has been in use since 1994.

START/FINISH
The start line is near the end of a very long straight. Although there are first corner fights it's the later laps that see real high speed action.
Outfield viewing but no cover.

CORNER 1
Only one side of the runway is used as the main straight which means heavy braking for Corner 1, an acute right hander. Any late braking can see cars totally misjudging the turn. The exit is onto another long high speed straight, although it's an uneven surface.

CORNER 2
This is a wide right curve and not so much a corner, but it feeds immediately into the chicane. As the braking is left until just after the curve drivers must be very cautious not to go off track onto the outfield.

CHICANE
Cars flick right then left through a parallel chicane although some will over run the apex kerb.

CORNER 3
Straight out of the chicane cars are braking again for Corner 3 a tight right which leads back onto the main airway.
