| PEMBREY is a another of those circuits ignored due to its location. That's
unfortunate as it represents great racing of nearly one and a half miles of continually improving track. Pembrey is also used for
Rallycross with a circuit just under one mile. |

VIEWING -
Pembrey holds a variety of race meetings but many racing fans ignore it because of the location. Make the effort as it's a
worthwhile trip with fast wide sections and slow complex corners. Viewing is good as it's a flat airfield circuit, but there are
big run-offs. Also make sure you wrap up warm as the sea brings in the best and worst of weather.
PARK STRAIGHT Between Honda and Hatchets hold the Start/Finish line. A fast straight after lap one due to
the openness of Honda. Outfield viewing.
HATCHETS HAIRPIN A very tight 160 degree right with required run-offs for the over ambitious.
A excellent corner for photographers and spectators alike. Much under braking can see offs and the slow speeds
needed allow plenty of time to see the racers.
SPITFIRES & DIBENI BEND Immediately after Hatchets vehicles are into the sharp right of Spitfires taking a
sweeping line for the left at Dibeni Bend.
Outfield viewing.
PADDOCK A very long left that tightens to a near right angle with little braking but more trailing throttle control.
Viewing from outfield banking.
ESSES Hardly esses in the usual sense. More of a slight curve right requiring no braking with many clipping the
infield apex kerb.
Outfield banking.
BROOKLANDS HAIRPIN A tight right hander onto the faster section of the circuit. It's an open exit hairpin but
not overly technical for vehicles.
Outfield. There's run-off for the over exuberant, although coming quite close after Brooklands there's little of interest.
SPEEDWAY STRAIGHT & WOODLANDS The start of the fast run up to the Honda Curve. From Speedway
vehicles increase speed taking the right of Woodlands flat out or with minimal speed loss.
Outfield viewing but too fast to be of interest with little action.
HONDA CURVE A long fast right before Park Straight. It's not a perfect arc thus needs a careful line to be taken
or vehicles can run-off to the outfield.
Again a fast point, but some action possible, particularly in the latter laps.
ACCESS -
The paddock is on the infield and is accessed between races by walking over the track.
It is usually free of charge. There are no Grandstands thus limited cover. Mobile catering supplies the food, although there is a
cafe in the paddock. |
