ALL INFORMATION PROVISIONAL

The Rally GB 2005 looks similar to 2004 with a few minor tweaks. Compacted within South Wales overall stage mileage is reduced to comply with the FIA 360km (224 mile) maximum. Sunday will see extended mileage, all within the mileage criteria to allow a more competitive days rallying. Stages are also similar and are listed below. Please check with the event organisers and the official rally website before making your travel arrangements.

Four alterations will hopefully help the spectator.
Firstly, although yet to be sanctioned officially you may see some cars fuelling at a local station or fuel supply point designated for the purpose. This will cut costs for teams who previously had to use FIA supplies.
Secondly, taped spectator 'pens' should be extended to allow greater flexibility for viewing on stage.
Thirdly, you may see up to 120 cars on the rally. Scrapping of the 90 car rule should see more privateers, although the costs are staggering.
Fourthly, the Cardiff Super Special moves indoors. A stage has been tested within the Millennium Stadium for use only on Saturday evening.
Rally_GB_ wales_map The extended Sunday mileage, more cars and repaired vehicles re-joining the next leg could provide the busiest Sunday viewing for years. Have fun and check times and stages officially before travelling.

SPEED CAMERAS - South Wales Police enforce speed limits more vigorously during the event. Static and particularly mobile units are placed at strategic points along the rally route at ALL TIMES of the day and night. Leave plenty of time for travel and observe your speed at all times. If you don't the Police will !
